About Fantasbags

Fantasbags (Fantastic Bags) is a new carrying bag for the folding chairs commonly referred to as camping chairs, quad chairs, or bag chairs. These popular chairs are everywhere at outdoor events these days from sporting events, tailgating, concerts, camping, picnics, etc. The chairs are a wonderful invention, but the bags they come in, the cylinder bag with drawstrings, cause great frustration as one tries to remove the chair or reinsert it back into the bag. As a consequence of that frustration, I designed a new bag and have a design patent on bags I call the "fantastic bags" for which I have trademark: "Fantasbags". Like the current bags, Fantasbags are in the shape of a cylinder with a polyester shell and a cloth carrying strap. However, unlike the current bags, Fantasbags have a reinforced closed pocket approximately six inches from the bottom of the bag and an open seam to the top of the bag with three, large Velcro connectors to connect that seam.

It is easy to remove the chair by disconnecting the Velcro straps, but the greatest beauty of the bag is when the chair is reinserted into the bag. A person simply slides the legs of the chair into the bottom pocket and then as easy as "one-two-three" connects the Velcro connectors from top to bottom. (See the demonstration video on this website.) It is also easy to open the bag for event security to look inside the bag when required at outdoor concerts or sporting events.

Fantasbags come in two lengths: 38" for the most commonly sized chairs and 46" for larger chairs. The diameter of most common bags today is 5" or 6". Fantasbags comes in 6" diameter for both lengths and accommodates both 5" and 6" diameter bags. Fantasbags come in a neutral, grey-colored shell that should not clash with any colored chair that you have.
